Amy RayBiographyAmy Ray is a partner in Wicker Smith’s Tampa office where she focuses her practice primarily on automotive, legal malpractice, medical malpractice, premises liability and product liability matters. Mrs. Ray graduated magna cum laude from Northern Michigan University with a double major in Human Physiology and Spanish, along with a double minor in Chemistry and Psychology. She continued her studies at Stetson University College of Law where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 2014 and graduated cum laude. While in law school. Mrs. Ray served as an intern for the Supreme Court of Florida, Chambers of Peggy A. Quince. Prior to joining Wicker Smith, she practiced at another prominent Florida litigation defense firm where she handled civil litigation, automotive, premises liability, and bad faith insurance claims. Mrs. Ray was also a Special Agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where she also served as a tactical EMT, prior to becoming an attorney. Mrs. Ray is admitted to practice in the state of Florida and is an active member of The Florida Bar and St. Petersburg Bar Association, Paraclete Editorial Committee where she currently serves as Editor of the Paraclete magazine. Representative Matters
Letters of Protection Case Results in Defense Verdict
Plaintiff claimed injuries to her cervical spine, lumbar spine, and shoulder following a low impact rear-end accident. Defense exposed a prior accident with near-identical complaints and a subsequent accident with near-identical complaints along with serious credibility issues and LOP billing practices. The jury found there was no causation and returned a total defense verdict.
