Defense Verdict: Automobile Negligence (St. Lucie County, Florida)

West Palm Beach Partner Mark Ruff and Associate Ryan Denish recently obtained a defense verdict in an automobile negligence case in St. Lucie County, Florida.

This was an admitted-liability case involving a rear-end collision in which Plaintiff was transported from the scene via ambulance. She ultimately underwent injections in her neck and back, as well as a cervical disk replacement, and claimed $218,000 in medical bills as a result of the accident.

After a four-day trial, Plaintiff’s counsel asked the jury for over $3.5 million. The jury deliberated for less than three hours before returning a complete defense verdict.
