Todd BarronBiographyTodd Barron is a partner in Wicker Smith’s Nashville office where his practice focuses on premises liability, negligent security, transportation matters, as well as advising equine professionals and organizations on a wide variety of equine law and liability issues. Todd began his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney at the Broward State Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted felony level cases and tried more than 30 cases to verdict. After his years as a prosecutor, he joined Wicker Smith in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office where he spent over a decade honing his trial and litigation skills for some of the firm’s largest Florida based, and national, retail and hospitality clients. In early 2025, Todd transferred to the firm’s Nashville office to help grow and develop their premises liability department. The firm has a number of its national clients who are entrusting Todd with their work in Tennessee based upon his success in Florida. Todd earned his law degree from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center where he was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America Honor Society. During law school, he interned for the Honorable Robin S. Rosenbaum at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and received the pro bono honor award for his volunteer work in the sexual battery unit of the Broward County State Attorney’s Office. He went on to earn a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Law & Government with a specialization in Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice from American University Washington College of Law. When he is not working, Todd and his wife enjoy exploring the music and culture of Music City as well as the many state parks Tennessee has to offer. Todd is also an avid golfer.
