The Orlando office of Wicker Smith has a current opening for an experienced receptionist.
Summary: Responsible for welcoming and directing visitors in the office or by phone, opening and closing the office, and assisting with all administrative functions of the front desk and lobby area.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
- Assist firm management, attorneys, and staff as requested.
- Handling all aspects of office opening and closing procedures.
- Answering, screening, and forwarding incoming phone calls.
- Assisting with conference room booking, set-up, and clean up.
- Accepting incoming packages and assisting with mail distribution.
- Typing, scanning, faxing, and organizing documents as requested.
- Completing miscellaneous projects and backing-up other positions as requested.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND LICENSURE
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Skills/Abilities: Excellent typing skills; Ability to produce accurate work product in a timely manner and work in a team environment.
- Ability to use computer, copy/scanner, fax machine, and telephone, and other office
equipment.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
- Speaking: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Hearing: Ability to hear average or normal conversations.
- Finger Dexterity: Ability to type and pick-up small objects and dial the telephone.
- Repetitive Motions: Movements regularly require using the arms, wrists, hands, and or/fingers.
- Visual Abilities: Ability to inspect documents and operate office machinery.
- Physical Abilities & Strength: Sitting most of the time. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Walking when necessary to retrieve supplies, faxes, mail, etc. Some bending and squatting. Lifting of files and boxes.
