Defense Verdict: Lake County, Florida (Auto Negligence)

Orlando Partners Joy Zubkin and Bryan Yasinsac and Associate Bianca Perito recently obtained a defense verdict in Lake County, Florida in a motor vehicle accident claim.

Liability was admitted and the trial proceeded only on damages and causation. Plaintiff claimed over $320,000 in post-accident medical care including for a two-level cervical fusion procedure and asked for more than a million dollars in damages at trial.

After deliberations, the jury agreed that Plaintiff’s claimed injuries were all pre-existing and unrelated to the accident and returned a verdict of no legal cause resulting in a full defense verdict.
