Briana L. Saffold

Briana L. Saffold is an Associate in the Pensacola office of Wicker Smith, where her practice focuses on first-party property, construction litigation, general liability, and commercial litigation matters.

Briana attended college at Florida State University, where she double majored in Psychology and Sociology, and graduated in 2017. She went on to work at a prestigious international bank as a Senior Customer Analyst, serving as a team lead for new client onboarding. She trained domestic and international teams on key regulatory frameworks and developed and implemented operating procedures tailored to client and regulatory requirements for three years before deciding to pursue a law degree.

She attended Florida State University College of Law, where she served as the President of the Black Law Student Association and earned a Distinguished Pro Bono Service Certificate, among many other honors. Briana gained valuable experience during law school by completing internships in the Compliance, Legal, and Government Relations department of a major state-wide health insurer, and the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, and completed her J.D. in 2023.

Prior to joining Wicker Smith in 2025, Briana worked as an attorney and legislative analyst in the Florida House of Representatives overseeing Judicial, Finance, and Taxation legislation, including bill analysis, tracking, and strategic assessment of policy impacts.

A natural leader, Briana was selected to participate in The Florida Bar Leadership Academy, Class XIII, a leadership program for young lawyers focused on bar service, professional growth, and statewide legal leadership.

In her free time, Briana enjoys staying active with Pilates, attending live music events, hosting dinners with friends, and planning trips to experience new cultures and cuisines.
