Anthony "AJ" Benante

Anthony “AJ” Benante is an associate in the Sarasota office of Wicker Smith, where his practice focuses on general and premises liability, construction, and medical malpractice matters.

AJ graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama’s Culverhouse College of Business in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 2025. During law school, AJ completed an internship with the State Attorney’s Office in Florida’s 12^th Judicial Circuit, where he worked alongside the lead prosecutor on local homicide cases. Following his second year, he  joined Wicker Smith as a summer associate and later completed a legal externship with the in-house counsel of a publicly traded company during his third year.

Outside of the office, AJ enjoys playing basketball and golf, spending time with his family and friends, and cheering on Bama athletics.
