John "Jack" Xavier ScanlonBiographyJohn “Jack” Xavier Scanlon is an associate in the Naples office of Wicker Smith, where his practice focuses on general liability, professional liability, construction, and medical litigation. After growing up in Naples, Florida, Jack received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Columbia University in New York City, where he competed on the Division I Men’s Swimming and Diving Team. He was a freshman representative on the Student Athlete Advisory Council, selected for the Columbia Lions Leadership Initiative, and named a Team Captain in his senior year. He went to Florida State University College of Law on a Garnet Law Scholarship, earning his J.D. in 2025. At FSU, Jack was active in fundraising for the Law School and was recognized for distinguished Pro Bono Service. Jack has a medical background to draw upon in his legal practice. Before law school, he worked in Naples at a vascular surgery practice and at an orthopedic sports medicine practice. During law school, he was a Law Clerk with Wicker Smith prior to joining the firm full time as an Associate Attorney in 2025. Jack is a dedicated community servant. He volunteered at Collier County Legal Aid, and founded a local charity, St. Jude’s Books. While living in New York, he was a community event volunteer, swim camp counselor, and youth swimming lesson instructor.
