MIAMI – FEBRUARY 22, 2023 –Wicker Smith O’Hara McCoy & Ford P.A. partners E. Holland “Holly” Howanitz and Theresa S. Caccippio had their article, Effective Communication in the Age of TikTok, published in the winter 2023 issue of USLAW Magazine.

The article discusses how advances in technology have significantly changed the way we receive information and in order to communicate effectively, attorneys must adapt, which significantly applies to presentations given to clients, juries and employees. E. Holland “Holly” Howanitz is a shareholder in the Jacksonville and Brunswick offices of Wicker Smith. She focuses her practice on defending claims in matters of general negligence, premises liability, transportation and construction defect litigation, retail, personal injury, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, insurance agent malpractice, products liability and automobile negligence. Theresa S. Caccippio is a partner in the Fort Lauderdale office of Wicker Smith where she focuses her practice on automotive, civil litigation and premises liability. Ms. Caccippio is a leader of attorneys that specialize in the defense of personal injury claims involving surgical procedures.

“The average user of TikTok, and many other social media platforms, desires to get the information they are digesting in under 30 seconds. And, in many cases, so does the average juror.” said Wicker Smith Partners, E. Holland “Holly” Howanitz and Theresa S. Caccippio. They continued, “Consider this, what can I learn from the fact that more than 1,000,000 people chose to spend 30 seconds of their time watching this video?”
