Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review Medical records to assess appropriateness of treatment
  • Review and organize Medical records
  • Analyze medical records to evaluate care and status of the claimant
  • Retain and coordinate with medical experts
  • Draft medical summaries
  • Draft letters summarizing expert opinions and may perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Ideal candidate would be a nurse with practical experience working in one of the following medical settings: hospital or nursing home or House Physician; Hospitalist; Physician’s Assistant.
  • A person with the skill sets to be able to review medical records and offer insight into liability and causation issues and help with the defense strategy.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and other business related software systems
  • Excellent organizational skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be proficient reading and writing English including professional phone etiquette

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Nursing degree and prior litigation experience is not necessary, but recommended
  • Full Time Position with Excellent Benefits. EOE
