Tara FloydTara Floyd Tara S. Floyd is a partner in the Jacksonville office where she primarily focuses on matters involving civil litigation, construction, insurance coverage & bad faith, medical malpractice, nursing home & assisted living, and premises liability. Ms. Floyd graduated from University of Louisville where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor English. She continued her studies at the Florida Coastal School of Law where she went on to earn a Juris Doctor, graduating with honors. While attending law school, she served as the Pro Bono Director of the Health Law Society and was a member of the Moot Court Honor Board and the Phi Delta Phi legal honor society. Prior to joining Wicker Smith in 2018, Ms. Floyd practiced at the Public Defender’s Office 7th Judicial Circuit of Florida where she practiced in both circuit and county court, representing juveniles and adults charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses, and represented clients in post-conviction proceedings.
