Rufus Peace

Rufus I. Peace is an associate in the Jacksonville office of Wicker Smith, where he focuses his practice on healthcare and professional liability matters.

Mr. Peace is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. During his twenty years of service, he worked as a Security Force Manager and as Nuclear Security Manager at Headquarters United States Air Forces Europe. At various times, he was responsible for the law enforcement and security of 5,600 residents and oversaw the personnel allocation for 19 international locations across three continents.

Mr. Peace earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Ashford University in San Diego during his service, and upon retirement from the Air Force, went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the Alexander Blewett III School of Law at the University of Montana.

Mr. Peace practiced in Montana for several years before relocating to Jacksonville in 2022. He is experienced in family law, estate planning, business transactions, real property transactions, and criminal defense.

When he is not practicing law, Mr. Peace enjoys reading, spending time with family, and restoring cars.
