Oscar Cabanas III

Oscar J. Cabanas III is an associate in the Miami office of Wicker Smith, focusing primarily on probate, tax & real estate matters.

Mr. Cabanas earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy from Fordham University in 2017 where he also played Division 1 Golf. Mr. Cabanas attended Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 2022, with a concentration in International Law. He went on to participate in a study abroad program at Universitat de Barcelona Facultat de Dret in Barcelona, Spain where he studied Estate Planning, Tax, and Business Associations.

During law school, he participated in the Jessup International Moot Court Competition and served as President to the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and the Nova Chapter of the Cuban American Bar Association. Prior to joining Wicker Smith, Oscar served as a legal intern for multiple prestigious organizations including the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix and clerked for the Honorable John O’Sullivan at the U.S District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

He is fluent in Spanish and enjoys playing golf and tennis during his free time.
