Michael T. Polk is an associate in Wicker Smith’s Sarasota office where he focuses his practice in civil litigation, including medical malpractice defense, insurance defense, and construction litigation defense.
In 2008, Mr. Polk graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a B.B.A. in Finance. From there he attended the University of Houston Law Center where he received his Juris Doctorate in 2011. While in law school, Mr. Polk was an officer in the Corporate & Tax Law Society and represented indigent clients in contractual and consumer fraud disputes as a member of the Consumer Dispute Resolution Law Clinic. Prior to joining Wicker Smith in 2019, he worked for the State Attorney’s Office, 12th Judicial Circuit, where he was a criminal prosecutor and handled over 40 misdemeanor and felony trials.
Mr. Polk is admitted to practice law in Florida, Texas, and the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida. He is a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association and The Florida Bar.
