Kelsey AlvarezKelsey Alvarez Kelsey Alvarez is a partner in Wicker Smith’s Jacksonville office where she focuses her practice on matters involving medical and legal malpractice, general negligence, and premises liability. In 2013, Ms. Alvarez graduated, summa cum laude, from West Virginia University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Public Relations. She was the recipient of the Outstanding Public Relations Senior Award, which is bestowed upon two graduating seniors that demonstrate academic excellence in the major. She then went on to earn a Juris Doctor in 2016 from Florida Coastal School of Law. Ms. Alvarez graduated magna cum laude in the top 2% of her class. She also received nine book awards for the highest overall grade in her class in: Alternative Dispute Resolution, Appellate Advocacy, Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, Contracts II, Criminal Law, Legal Writing-Litigation Practice, Legal Writing-Objective Writing, and Torts I. While in law school, Ms. Alvarez was the President of Florida Coastal’s nationally ranked Moot Court Honor Board. She competed in six national competitions, won a Best Advocate award and was a semi-finalist in four competitions. She also served on the Editorial Board of the Florida Coastal Law Review as Communications Editor. During her tenure at Florida Coastal, Ms. Alvarez had the distinct honor to serve as a judicial extern with the Honorable Harvey E. Schlesinger of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Ms. Alvarez was admitted to practice in the State of Florida in 2016 and is an active member of the Florida Bar.
