Karina Haycook practices in the Jacksonville office where she focuses on matters involving medical malpractice, claims against nursing homes and assisted living facilities, personal injury and wrongful death.
Ms. Haycook graduated from University of Florida where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with Political Science concentration. She continued her studies at the University of Florida where she went on to earn a Juris Doctor. Ms. Haycook then went to work in the West Palm office of Wicker Smith, where she worked for 16 years. She became a Partner in 1998 and then decided to leave the firm to travel around the world. Prior to re-joining Wicker Smith in 2018, Ms. Haycook managed the general liability division for another state wide insurance defense firm’s Jacksonville office. She also gained experience handling plaintiffs’ cases, working with a well-known firm in the Jacksonville area. Over the course of her 28 years in the legal profession, she has obtained a vast amount of experience handling complex cases from the pre-suit stage through trial.
Ms. Haycook is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and is an active member of the Florida Bar.
