Continuing her education, she received a full academic scholarship to Ave Maria School of Law where she earned her Juris Doctor magna cum laude and graduated among the top ten in her class. Prior to joining Wicker Smith, Kaitlin gained legal experience as an Associate Attorney with a national practice dedicated to providing legal services to abused, disabled, and catastrophically injured children harmed in foster care, shelters, residential treatment centers, group homes, and other child welfare settings. Prior to that, she worked as a legal intern for the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of the Principal Legal Advisor in both Dallas, TX and Miami, FL. While in law school, Kaitlin served as an associate editor of Law Review, an executive officer of Moot Court, and a teaching assistant for the Legal Analysis, Writing, & Research department.
