Ms. Hempstead earned her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with an English concentration, cum laude, from Pensacola Christian College in 2013. She spent a year in Haikou, Hainan, China, teaching English as a Second Language at the Qiongtai Teachers College before enrolling in law school. She earned her Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach in 2018, where she served two years on the editorial board of the Regent University Law Review, one term as the President of the Christian Legal Society, and was a recipient of the World Changers Scholarship. Prior to joining Wicker Smith, Ms. Hempstead worked as a wills, trust, and estates and business attorney in Virginia Beach, and as a judicial law clerk at both the Newport News Circuit Court and the Virginia Supreme Court.
