Giselle GuzmanBiographyGiselle is an associate in Wicker Smith’s Naples office where she focuses on a variety of civil litigation matters, including professional liability, premises liability, and construction defect cases. Prior to law school, Giselle worked for Southwest Florida Addiction Services, Inc., a non-profit residential treatment center providing substance abuse and mental health services. In her managerial role, she was responsible for daily operations of a 60+ bed facility. She has experience in office and administrative management, patient care, HIPAA-compliance, and other operational functions in a clinical setting. In law school, Giselle was a member of the Moot Court Board, an associate editor of Law Review, a Dean’s Delegate, Vice President of the Federalist Society chapter, a peer-mentor, and a research assistant to Professor Mollie Murphy. She earned CALI awards in Commercial Law, Complex Litigation, and Writing for Law Practice. Giselle is passionate about oral advocacy. In March 2020, Giselle won first place in the 12th Annual National Latino Law Student Association Moot Court Competition in San Francisco, California. She graduated cum laude from Ave Maria School of Law in 2020. Giselle was Student Commencement Speaker and recipient of the St. Catherine of Alexandria commencement award, in recognition for her excellence in oral advocacy. She was voted “Most Likely to Be A Millionaire” in her class superlatives. Giselle is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and the Middle District of Florida. She is a member of the Appellate Practice, Public Interest Law, Trial Lawyers, and Young Lawyers sections of the Florida Bar. She describes her professional approach as both intuitive and strategic. She is also fluent in Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising and spending time with her two children. Honors
