Andrew YatkmanBiographyAndrew S. Yatkman is an Associate in the Wicker Smith Orlando office, where his practice is focused on construction defect litigation and general civil defense. Mr. Yatkman received his Juris Doctor cum laude from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, his MBA from Florida International University, and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Florida. Prior to joining Wicker Smith, Mr. Yatkman represented developers, engineers, architects, homeowners, contractors and subcontractors in construction defect claims, property insurance disputes, lien law enforcement and bond claims. He also served as second chair trial attorney in a complex first-party insurance construction defect claim and wrote extensively on Florida Statutes Chapter 558 Construction Defects. Mr. Yatkman brings a wealth of experience in the construction field to his law practice at Wicker Smith, holding both a State of Florida Contractor’s license and a State of Florida Roofing license. Prior to becoming an attorney, he worked for over 15 years as the Principal of Operations for a construction and roofing company designing, building, renovating and creating interior design for commercial and residential buildings throughout Florida.
