Amy KohutAmy Kohut Amy Kohut is an associate in the Jacksonville office of Wicker Smith, focusing on medical malpractice and premises liability matters. Ms. Kohut attended University of California at Santa Barbara, where she double-majored in Psychology and Law and Society. She graduated in 2006, and went on to earn her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in 2011. In her early career in California, Ms. Kohut worked as a healthcare fraud investigator at two of the nation’s largest health insurance companies, and received accolades for dental and medical plan compliance and integration efforts. As an Active-Duty military spouse, she continued her career in healthcare compliance with the Department of the Army as the Chief of Patient Administration at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe Healthcare Facility in Belgium. There, she was responsible for HIPAA compliance, and managed American soldiers, federal employees, contractors, and host nation employees in an outpatient NATO setting. She joined Wicker Smith in 2022. In her free time, Ms. Kohut enjoys volunteer work as a patient advocate for people with dysautonomia, traveling, and spending time with her husband and friends.
