Biography

 

Raymond E. Watts, Jr., joined Wicker Smith in 1992 and is a partner in the Orlando office.  For nearly 20 years, Mr. Watts has actively litigated in both the state and federal courts, representing clients in the defense of medical malpractice, wrongful death, products liability, premises liability, automobile negligence, construction and complex litigation.  In the last four years, Mr. Watts has tried to verdict and arbitrated more than two dozen complex litigation claims. 

 

He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1986 from the University of Florida and went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from Mercer University in 1989, where he was also a  member of the Mercer Law Review from 1987-1989.  He is a member of The Florida Bar, State Bar of Arizona, Florida Defense Lawyer’s Association, Orange County Bar Association, and Defense Research Institute.  Mr. Watts has lectured at state and national conferences, sharing his best practices in the defense of long-term care claims.
