Richard E. Ramsey Biography
Richard E. Ramsey joined Wicker Smith in 1990 and is a partner resident of the firm’s Jacksonville office, responsible for overseeing office operations. Mr. Ramsey has over 20 years experience focusing on a broad array of complex litigation involving medical malpractice, professional malpractice, product liability, nursing home and insurance defense, and construction. An "AV" rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, he has tried numerous cases throughout the state of Florida representing such clients as Office Depot, Marshall’s, Scottsdale Insurance, ProAssurance, and The Medical Protective among many others.
Admitted to practice in the state of Florida, Mr. Ramsey is a Certified Federal Court Arbitrator. He received his Bachelor of Arts cum laude from New York University in 1984 and his J.D. from Catholic University in 1987. Among a number of professional affiliations, Mr. Ramsey devotes a vast amount of his time serving on the Board of Directors for the Big Fun Box, a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing creative activities for hospitalized children.
